2025 January 2 Update

I worked on this a while ago, but it's time to do an update. I had spent some time with seeing various issues, first I noticed it was getting hit by at least one web crawler. There's next to nothing here that's worth crawling on a regular basis (once a month would be more than enough for updates, and other than stuff I'm mirroring, no one likely is interested.)

I updated to ask crawlers to not crawl, it seems to have reduced it after a bit, but I'm not sure the crawlers that were crawling are going to respect that. I'm willing to block access entirely to those IP addresses.

In looking into that, I saw I had way too many accounts registered. So initially I made it a little more difficult to register, but that really had no effect. So I ended up turning off registration, and people can request if they wish to do so.

I am writing this directly, because I was looking, and it seemed fair to edit here (and I don't think I have a local copy of the repository, it's more information, than anything that I would be testing anyway. At least so far).

That's a fair update so far.
